Beseech Premiere “The Shimmering” on CrypticRock

Back in 2006, Sweden’s delightful Gothic Metal outfit known as Beseech said farewell following 2005’s Sunless Day. A bittersweet farewell for devoted fans around the world, quietly in 2013, Beseech reformed with a new line-up. With original members Guitarists Robert Vintervind and Klas Bohlin back on board, they brought back Guitarist Manne Engström, while recruiting Vocalist Angelina Sahlgren Söder, Bassist Johan Örnborg, and Drummer Håkan Carlsson into the family. Now the sun has risen in 2016 as Beseech are ready to return with their first album in over a decade, My Darkness, Darkness. Set for release in March, on the 4th, via Despotz Records, the band is set to exclusively premiere their song “The Shimmering” today on CrypticRock.com.  Listen below:

Reminiscent of the ambient, dark style of their past, the new track combines the vocals of Bohlin with the subtle textures of Söder. Bohlin states, “The Shimmering is dedicated to the people that don’t get along with their destiny. It’s a song about the pain that comes with daily tragedies and losses. Sooner or later it will happen to all of us, either we like it or not. It is also a proper introduction to our upcoming album My Darkness, Darkness.” With a mesmerizing sound, it seems the Swedes have not missed a step in their absence and are ready to make a big impact with My Darkness, Darkness, so rejoice, Beseech has returned.
