Blacklite District is a musical project that has been going strong for a decade now. The vision and passion of Kyle Pfeiffer, many may recall their first introduction to Blacklite District back in 2013 with the big singles “Take Me To the Grave” and “With Me Now.” Since growing, shifting, and refocusing, Pfeiffer has kept the dream alive through various trials and tribulations. A testament to dedication, Blacklite District are set to return with their new album 1990 later this year. A release that has seen a buzz swell among loyal fans, now Blacklite District are set to unleash their new single “Gotta Get Outta Here.” Check it out below:
One of the songs worked on with accomplished Producer Brett Hestla (Creed, Virgos Merlot, Dark New Day), Pfeiffer states, “Here was one of the songs that Brett Hestla (producer) and I wrote from scratch lyrically and melody wise. I had these cool couple of guitar riffs that I had recorded and they had a vibe for sure. When I started recording 1990 in Nashville, we tracked the instruments for this song and started humming melody and lyric ideas. Literally within a few hours, we had the entire song done, and here we are. Definitely one of my favorite tracks on the album and in my opinion, really sets the tone for what’s next.”
Reminiscent of older Blacklite District work, from the sounds of “Gotta Get Outta Here” it appears Pfeiffer has grown both as a musician and lyricist. Complete with a tight arrangement, catchy sound, and solid production, it is a great sneak peek into what is in store with 1990.
