New music project Electric Würms is born

New musical project Electric Würms is a prog-rock venture featuring The Flaming Lips multi-instrumentalist Steven Drozd on vocals, guitars, and keyboards with front man Wayne Coyne on bass, backed by Nashville psychedelic rock band Linear Downfall. Electric Würms will release a six-song album titled Musik, Die Shwer Zu Twerk, on August 19th via Warner Bros. Records.  The record promises to transport the listener into a new kind of transcendental orbit, unlike one might expect from The Flaming Lips alone.

The first single from Musik, Die Shwer Zu Twerk is out now and is a cover of British prog-rock band, Yes’ “Heart of The Sunrise”.  With this sample of  Electric Würms styling it should be interesting to hear the rest of the material come August.
