New York City’s very own SKATERS have announced that they will hit the road for a spring headlining tour presented by FILTER in support of their debut album Manhattan, which will be released by Warner Bros. Records on February 25th. Following appearances at SXSW 2014, the tour will begin in Santa Ana, Calif., on March 18th and finishes up in Philadelphia on April 4th. Please see below for all dates.

Before the U.S. tour begins, SKATERS will celebrate the release of Manhattan with a hometown album party show at The Bowery Ballroom the night before album street date on February 24th. They will then leave for the U.K., where they have amassed a loyal following, for a string of shows.

The digital version of Manhattan is currently available for preorder on iTunes. Upon purchase, fans instantly receive the first single, “Deadbolt.” Those who preorder the album will also receive an exclusive bonus track, “Played Out,” on release date. Click here to order.

Manhattan is already attracting glowing headline in advance of its release:

“Hubbard provides layered guitar chords that are more waves of sound than riffs, adding to the feeling of isolation. Meanwhile, Cummings’ detached voice adds another element of frost, further referencing the band’s post-punk influences.” -RollingStone.Com

“The mod-rockers combine The Strokes ragged melodies, hints of 2tone’s checkerboard tempo swings and Britpop’s hooligan smirk, plus new Wave’s baritone strut and hardcore ‘s sprint; the result reverberates with unbridled energy.” – Electronic Musician Magazine

“A band with the garage revivalist instincts and lo-fi cool to finally bring guitars back into fashion.” — NME (UK)
