The Rumjacks Premiere New Song “Cold London Rain”

A lot has happened over the last decade, and in the Punk music world, Australia’s The Rumjacks are celebrating their 10th anniversary in 2018. A band that combines a list of musical influences, including Punk Rock, Celtic and Traditional Folk, to honor their 10 years together, they are partaking in a huge tour as well as releasing a new album. Entitled Saints Preserve Us!, the brand new collection of songs is due out on October 12th, and today the band exclusively premieres the track “Cold London Rain” on CrypticRock. Listen to the song off the record below:

A song filled with a ton of energy that combine a raw Punk Rock vibe with some great subtle traditional tones. When asked bout the song, Lead Singer Frankie McLaughlin said, “The song wrote itself in my head as we were beating a retreat one morning from London for Cardiff. That annoyed the shit outta me as my face was pressed up against the bus window desperate for sleep, and I could feel the cold of the summer rain lashing against the glass. I had only a few hours before been forced to bid a hasty farewell to a dear, sweet friend after our show the night before. The story is told through her eyes and through the eyes of anyone else who ever dared to ‘fly the coop’ at a young age, and take on one of the toughest cities on the planet. Its about the fear, uncertainty and sheer thrill of adventure. And about falling in & out of love with a whole city, and moving on..

Saints Preserve Us! marks the band’s fourth studio album and if songs like “Cold London Rain” are any sign of what it has to offer, it should be a explanation point on 10 years of The Rumjacks.
