Aerosmith & YUNGBLUD – One More Time (EP Review)

Aerosmith & YUNGBLUD

Already a respected name in entertainment as a singer and songwriter, 2025 has been a huge year for YUNGBLUD. To summarize, earlier in the year, YUNGBLUD released his album Idols, which has topped charts worldwide and earned him a Grammy Award for Best Rock Album at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards. Meanwhile, he has grown as a favorite among Rock fans thanks to impassioned live performances. In fact, he has been so impressive that other Rock legends have taken notice, including the late Ozzy Osborne, who offered YUNGBLUD heartfelt advice and became a mentor of sorts. With that in mind, YUNGBLUD performed a stunning, emotional tribute to Ozzy by singing Black Sabbath’s 1972 song “Changes,” which turned even more heads.

Something everyone should hear: let us also not overlook that Rock-n-Roll icons Aerosmith have shown an affection for YUNGBLUD. Explaining this connection further, YUNGBLUD reportedly began collaborating with Aerosmith’s Joe Perry and his Producer, Matt Schwartz, in the summer of 2024. Initially sparked by Perry’s admiration for YUNGBLUD’s “Hello Heaven, Hello,” the interest blossomed into something special. In fact, the recording sessions they did together sounded so good that they led to full Aerosmith band sessions, including the one and only Steven Tyler. A wild turn of events, everyone knows that Aerosmith retired in the summer of 2024, primarily due to Steven Tyler’s vocal injury. Still, we now have a brand-new EP from Aerosmith, in direct collaboration with YUNGBLUD. Does this mean that Aerosmith is out of retirement? No one really knows the extent of that, but at least we have a compelling new Aerosmith/YUNGBLUD EP called One More Time.

Released on November 21, 2025, through Capitol Records, the EP marks Aerosmith’s first new material in over 12 years. Five tracks in total: there are four new co-written songs with YUNGBLUD, plus a new mix of the 1976 Aerosmith song “Back in the Saddle.” Something that should appeal to newer and older generations of Rock fans, the EP kicks off with the lead single, “My Only Angel.” A brilliant song, it has energy and powerful melodies that will definitely make it a timeless Rock anthem. Meanwhile, “Problems” begins with the cheering of a big crowd, and it is another solid tune. Grabbing hold of you, the song gradually rises in intensity, pulling you in deeper and deeper.

Joining these tracks, “Wild Woman” comes at you with intensity and rhythm, passionate lyrics, and ’80s Rock vibe that you will love. This is while “A Thousand Days” is much slower and even more thoughtful, yet just as passionate. Finally, the new mix of “Back In The Saddle” is gradually building, with the signature scream of Steven Tyler.

It would be difficult to argue that YUNGBLUD is probably the artist of the year. As for Aerosmith, well, they are Rock legends, we are glad to have them back. The combination of YUNGBLUD and Steven Tyler creates a perfect blend that is impossible to stop listening to. These five songs leave you craving for more, so let us hope Aerosmith and YUNGBLUD follow it up with a full-blown album, because Cryptic Rock gives One More Time 5 out of 5 stars.
