Formed in 1973, England’s Bad Company was what we would call nowadays a Rock-n-Roll supergroup; consisting of Vocalist Paul Rodgers, Bassist Boz Burrell (formerly of King Crimson), Drummer Simon Kirke (formerly of Free), and Guitarist Mick Ralphs (formerly of Mott the Hoople. With a signature sound that would eventually capture the hearts of many and propel the band to superstardom, Bad Company produced some legendary songs like 1974’s “Bad Company,” 1975’s “Feel Like Makin’ Love,” and 1989’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy.” One of the most successful Rock bands in history, they finally earned their rightful place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2025. Long overdue, through the years, Bad Company has also influenced many young musicians who would go on to become Rock stars in their own right.
With that in mind comes the new Can’t Get Enough: A Tribute to Bad Company album, a celebration of the band’s enduring legacy and its importance in music, featuring superstar guest spots. A great way to celebrate their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the band’s 50th anniversary, this is the first-ever tribute album in their honor. Released on October 24, 2025, via Primary Wave Music, both longtime Bad Company fans and the contributing artists will be pretty pleased.
The album starts with American Country and Rock singer HARDY, delivering his signature sound on the classic “Ready for Love,” featuring a great bassline and clear guitar lines. A great way to kick off, it has a great pace, excellent vocals, and harmonies. Following this up is a raucous cover of “Shooting Star” by Grammy-winning Halestorm. With its heavier guitar tone, excellent lead playing, and growling vocals by the talented Lzzy Hale, the song sounds familiar yet new at the same time. A standout on the album, especially with Paul Rodgers on the track, Halestorm was able to put their own spin on a song that has been ingrained in the halls of Rock-n-Roll for decades already.
Moving on, the classic “Feel Like Makin’ Love” was given its own spin by the ultra-talented duo comprised of Slash and Myles Kennedy, who deliver an unbelievable rendition. With Kennedy’s superb vocals and Slash’s signature guitar playing, this cover is another standout track on this tribute album. This is followed by Southern Rockers Blackberry Smoke with a stellar version of “Run With The Pack.” With an instantly recognizable sound, these rockers are always guaranteed to deliver —and deliver they do. Lead vocalist Charlie Starr leaves his mark on this great song with powerful vocals, guitar riffs, and guitar leads, all backed by the rest of the band, which gives the track a groove that starts right away and never lets up until it’s over. Speaking of Blackberry Smoke, they have mentioned in the past how vital Bad Company is to their own musical past, so it is no surprise that their cover for this tribute album is nothing short of amazing as they collaborate with Paul Rodgers and Mastodon’s Brann Dailor.
Coming up next is the exciting California Rock band Dirty Honey with their blazing version of “Rock Steady.” Here, Vocalist Marc Labelle delivers a sizzling performance, while the track opens with a dirty guitar riff over a groovy thudding bassline and a perfect drum beat. Even The Pretty Reckless gets in on the fun with their take on “All Right Now” (a hit for Free in 1968, which at that time consisted of future Bad Company members Paul Rodgers and Simon Kirke). With her signature singing style, Taylor Momsen delivers a great version of this iconic song. Beyond this, you also have a fantastic take on “Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy” by The Struts, “Bad Company” by Charley Crockett, and a special rendition of “Seagull by Joe Elliott and Phil Collen of Def Leppard (with help from Paul Rodgers and Simon Kirke).
Overall, fans of Bad Company and Classic Rock in general will love Can’t Get Enough: A Tribute to Bad Company. Song after song is a hit. Every band delivers while putting their own spin on the songs. There is no question that Bad Company’s music continues to inspire Rock lovers of all generations, and that is why Cryptic Rock recommends Can’t Get Enough: A Tribute to Bad Company, giving it 5 out of 5 stars.
