The 2023 resurrection of Creed was unpredicted in the eyes of many. After reuniting in 2009, they toured, released the album Full Circle, and continued playing shows through early 2012. A fantastic time for fans, along this journey, there was the standout string of shows where they played 1997’s My Own Prison and 1999’s Human Clay from start to finish. Something no one will soon forget, Creed members would then go their separate ways, as Mark Tremonti, Scott Phillips, and Brian Marshall returned full-time to Alter Bridge (releasing Fortress in 2013 and continuing into the present day), while Scott Stapp put out his superb Proof of Life in 2013, cementing longevity as a solo artist.
Seemingly occupied since, Mark Tremonti also launched a new band, Tremonti, around 2012, which has remained active over the last decade-plus. However, with a renewed interest in Creed’s music, the band came back together for some shows in 2023, before a full-blown reunion tour in 2024. A stunning success, in 2024, Creed was one of the highest-grossing live acts, with ticket sales soaring to over a million. This resulted in more touring in 2025, and the band is wrapping up the year nicely with a string of shows called Creedmas (with some dates including Sevendust and others Hinder).

A very productive time for Creed, least we not forget that several significant anniversaries came and went in recent years; first the 25th anniversary of My Own Prison in 2022 (where they released the album on vinyl for the first time), plus the 25th anniversary of Human Clay in 2024 (where they released a 2CD Deluxe edition and 2LP vinyl edition in celebration), as well as the 20th anniversary of their 2004 Greatest Hits album (which was put out on vinyl for the first time in the spring of 2024). All keeping their fanbase engaged, more recently, Creed has put out two new vinyls in November 2025.
Just in time for the holidays, you have Live in San Antonio, which arrived on Black Friday Record Store Day 2025 (November 28, 2025) in a lovely limited-edition metallic-silver pressing. Still, there was also their The Best Of collection, which arrived on vinyl one week earlier on November 21, 2025, through Craft Recordings.
A brand-new compilation which initially arrived digitally on September 23, 2025, the vinyl series offers fans a chance to own the music in various colored vinyl options: eruption (via Creed.com), silver marble (through Walmart), red smoke (through Barnes & Noble), and sunspot (through Craft Recordings). All looking extremely appealing, there are no bad options, just personal preferences. Complete with 10 tracks, this set differs from the 2004 Greatest Hits in that it includes two tracks from the Full Circle album (“Overcome” and “Rain”). Furthermore, while most of the tracks are radio or single edits, the other big bonus this time around is that “What’s This Life For” is not oddly censored, as was the version put on the 2004 Greatest Hits.

Altogether, it is a comprehensive look at the mainstream hits of Creed, suitable for the more casual fan and also compelling for the diehard looking to reflect on everything. In addition to the vinyl releases, Walmart will also carry an exclusive CD edition (packaged with a commemorative satin tour pass). So, browse the colored vinyl you are most interested in, or check out the exciting CD edition, because this is a release worth picking up. That is why Cryptic Rock gives the vinyl and CD release of Creed’s 2025 The Best Of 4.5 out of 5 stars.
