Known for his impeccable guitar skills, Turkish rocker Demir Demirkan is set to release his new album Elysium In Ashes on June 14th. Coming after the 2018 5-track EP, War III, the new album will also mark Demirkan’s first in English. An exciting time for Demirkan and his band, to help prepare for the release they premiere the new track “Dark Clouds In Heaven” exclusively via Cryptic Rock magazine. Check it out below:
An instrumentally invigorating song with moody vocals, Demirkan states, “‘Dark Clouds In Heaven’ is a song that I had the concept for, for a few years. It’s about the agony of someone who lost a loved one, a spouse. Although it has been a while he can’t move on and is in deep pain because her memory is fading away and the only thing that will soon be left is her old rusty wedding ring. He dreams of her as a pure angel soaring in heaven’s skies and even the clouds in heaven are darkened in sadness because she is bound to be there forever and they’re forever separated, because he knows he will never be taken to heaven in the afterlife.”
A heavy concept, it sets the stage for Elysium In Ashes which a leap forward for Demir Demirkan who is poised for mainstream stardom.
