Nebraska based hard rock band Emphatic have signed with Pavement Entertainment. The bands most recently album, Another Life , received rave reviews since it’s release back in October of 2013.
Having recently parted ways with vocalist Toryn Green and guitarist Bill Hudson back in February, the band marches on playing live shows with fill in vocalist Grant Kendrick of The Wreckage and guitarist Lance Dowdle.
With a clean slate and never say die attitude, founding guitarist Justin McCain made the following statement in regarding to the recent changes “With some welcomed changes that have occurred with Emphatic, we felt it necessary to get back into the studio and make an album that reflects the current vision of the band”. Their new album slated to be released in late 2014 will also feature production by McCain. McCain also stated regarding their signing with Pavement Entertainment “We are excited about this new opportunity and look forward to the road ahead”.
Having sustained many bumps in the road in the past, Emphatic is no doubt a band of determination. Clearly a band hard rock audiences adore they have intangible attributes for success. Pavement’s Director of A&R Tim King made the following statement “Any band that has longevity and is in it for the long haul had to suffer through ups and downs. This includes changes with labels, management, and sometimes even band members. There are so many bands that just pack it in and call it a day when things get tough. Bands like Emphatic separate the men from the boys. The band’s determination and great songwriting is a key factor as to why I signed them to Pavement. We have many great things planned for these guys”.
