September Mourning exclusive premiere of “Superhuman” on CrypticRock.com

The worlds of rock-n-roll, pop, dance, and dark imagery collide with the band September Mourning. Formed back in 2010 in Los Angeles, CA, the concept behind the music comes from a dark cultural fantasy told by artist/vocalist Emily Lazar who portrays September. Creating a world where visual aspects play a key role in the color of their songs, September Mourning is both enticing to the eyes and inviting to the ears. September Mourning allows the listener to dive into a dreamscape of unique storytelling through the eyes of a highly beautiful, but forbidden looking, character with a backdrop of heavy guitars, textured keyboards, and bright vocals. This creative and talented band has toured with the likes of Marilyn Manson, The Birthday Massacre, and Hanzel Und Gretyl. In May of 2012 the band released Melancholia via German label Repo Records. Now signed to Virgin Records, in 2014 the band is set to release their brand new song “Superhuman” on CrypticRock.com today. Listen below:

The track is upbeat, powerful, and filled with pop hook lines that are irresistible.  September Mourning stated “I’m very excited to share a new song with you today called “Superhuman”!  In the spirit of Comicon, and the announcement of the first issue of my comic book at www.skullfky.club, it just seemed like the right track to start things off with!  If it’s a little too poppy for some of you rock-heads, fear not, there’s something just for you guys right around the corner.”

With the artistic concept of September Mourning in place, the character has also struck the attention of Top Cow comics Marc Silvestri who is best known for his work on Wolverine, Witchblade, and X-men.  Learn more about the comic in the video below:

September Mourning’s line-up is rounded out by Riven on guitars/keyboards, Wraith on bass, Shadou on guitar, and Twitch on drums. This is a band not to be missed for fans of metallic larger than life music that transcends genres.
