Don’t look now, but the summer of 2018 is nearly over here in the Northeast. That’s right, pretty soon it will be back to school and vacation time with the family will be a distant memory. Bummer, right? Well, it does not need to be all doom and gloom, because there are still a few more weeks to live it up in the sun, and what better way to send out the summer season with a bang than attending Billboard Hot 100 Music Festival!
Entering its third year since launching back in 2015, Jones Beach off the mainland of Long Island, New York has been a fitting location since the start. This year hosted the weekend of Saturday, August 18th and Sunday the 19th, it will feature another killer lineup of artists ranging from Pop to Rock and everything in between. Including headliners Halsey, Rae Sremmurd, DJ Snake, and Future, there is so much excitement for music fans, why wouldn’t you attend?

My favorite summer song is Stangers by Halsey. I really connect to the lyrics and thing she’s an amazing performer and would love to see her live.
Krewella is BOSS. Team is one of my all time fave songs. It is so empowering and one of those songs that make you get up and dance but also do something productive. I have this song playing when I’m doing housework, College work, and getting ready to party. Seeing Krewella live would be the perfect last bang before summer ends. (Ps my bday is aug 21, which would make this the perfect present!!)
I went to a Bad Royale show once, right? And they played “Burn It Up” and I felt my first man-made earthquake ! It was honest-to-God explosive and I can still sometimes feel my ribs bouncing with the beat. So, yeah… I’d like to feel my ribs explode again with this duo. Xx
My favorite summer jam is by kehlani; i love her song crzy! Her stage presence seems INSANE and she always pops off whenever i see videos of her performing. This song honestly puts me in the best mood & gets me so hyped up. It honestly makes me feel so confident and that i could do anything crazy 😜. I’d be so happy if I’d be able to see her at hot 100!!!

Ride or Die by The Knocks is my summer jam! It creates a summery nostalgic feeling that sets the mood for a nice hot day whether you’re driving or relaxing on the beach. I would love to see them perform this song live.❤️ This would be amazing and an unforgettable experience.

My favorite summer jam right now is Heaven In Hiding by Halsey. Anytime I listen to this song I scream the lyrics and it gets me so happy. all the beats make me wanna dance. She’s my favorite artist and I would love to see her for the first time ever.
Cheat Codes : feels great & put me back together – I feel like everything about the song “feels great”, equals summer. The entire vibe it gives off the second you hear it, everybody around just gets happy and starts singing and dancing! But the funny thing is when you listen to the lyrics it could actually be a little nostalgic and melancholy, but when paired with that music and a chorus line that says “feels great mf yah” it instantly becomes a happy feel good song and that’s what summer is about! Put me back together just hits my soul, the lyrics accurately say how I feel about someone. It’s actually kind of the same reason as the next song listed below.
lovelytheband : broken – The lyrics of the song or so relatable, because like many other people I sometimes feel broken at times in certain ways; and I’ve been spending a lot of time this summer with someone who actually seems to understand that and feel/be the same; and that is a rare and awesome thing to have with someone. Someone that genuinly still likes you for you, bad with the good, and lets you be whatever you may be at any given time!
Most of the time music seems to complete us more than anything else, for me personally the only thing that makes music any better is dancing to it! I’d love nothing more than this person and I dancing in that GA pit happily to all of these glorious artists and songs!! 🙆🏼♀️🕺🏼😌☀️🎶 💓
My favorite summer jam is “Guatemala” by Rae Sremmurd. The the light and steady beat and the lyrics about a summer fling in Guatemala reminds me of a summer with no worries. The song gives off the vibes of a tropical, sunny day as soon as you hear the beat drop and I’ve been listening to it nonstop this summer.

“Hurricane” by Halsey is my favorite “summer jam” because I discovered the song 3 years ago and it made me fall in love with her as an artist. I have followed her music every since, and it would mean so much to me to see her perform this weekend, This song has taught me to become a stronger and better person, as its message is that “you do not belong to anyone but yourself.”, which she says live when she performs the song. I would be incredibly grateful for an opportunity to hear this song live and to experience it at Hot 100 Fest. Thank you!
My favorite summer jam is Alone by Halsey because it taught me that it is okay to be alone. I always thought that being alone was a bad thing and that I couldn’t be, but this song helped me realize that being alone is okay. Sometimes it’s good to get away from all the people and have time to yourself, it’s a good way to heal and has personally taught me to love myself and learn more about myself by simply loving to be alone.
My favorite summer jam right now is 100 Letters by Halsey. That song has taught me to be my own person and that I will never belong to anybody else. I’ve learned to overcome many things in life because of this song. This song makes me feel so powerful and free and not to fall for negativity.
The best summer jam of 2018 is most definitely Almost Love by Sabrina Carpenter. Sabrina puts her emotions into beautiful and super super fun lyrics! You get to jam out to a bopping song while relating and resinating with the lyrics! Sabrina always carries so much wisdom through her songs, while still making them fun to jam to and you always have a good time listening to her. It’s so easy to dive into her music and just listen for hours and hours! Sabrina means the absolute world to me and it would be incredible to see her preform! Thanks you!!
“Hillside Boys” by Kim Petras is my summer jam because it’s an absolute bubblegum smash hit that made me transcend to another plane of existence for like a solid week the first time I heard it
Not sure she’ll even perform it, but my summer jam is the Benny Blanco produced track Eastside by Halsey (also featuring Khalid). It captures the feeling that summer is full of possibilities when you’re young and in love. You can get swept up in it or you can let it pass you by if you’re not careful. It’s bittersweet and nostalgic, but then again, so is summertime.

MY SUMMER JAM = Alone By Halsey.
When I first heard it, I knew it’d be my favorite. Halsey, as an artist is phenemonally inspiring, her strength is beautiful, her talent is glorious, and I admire her deeply for everything she represents, embodies, and stands for as an artist, as an individual, and as a human being.
This song is EMPOWERING TO ME. As a survivor of domestic violence by my father, It makes me feel invincible and hopeful for a brighter future with the vibes the song exudes. I would LOVE to finally see her perform live. The lineup is incredible, but she’d be the one to watch as a headliner.
My birthday is August 20th, currently, have no plans.
To say I’d LIVE to spend it at the Hot 100 Festival would be a dream. I never go to concerts cause I can’t afford it, but would love to experience this. for the first time.
THIS LINEUP IS AMAZING. But my heart is BEATING for Kehlani AND Halsey! TWO POWER WOMEN, TWO BADASS WOMEN, TWO UNTOUCHABLE WOMEN. Their music uplifts me to the fullest and gives me strength to go on and conquer my day.
Can’t express with words how much it would mean to see them live. Kehlani’s song “Runnin'” gets me thriving, it’s an actual story of my life and resonates beyond, Halsey’s “Now Or Never” has been my song of the summer blasting in the car since it came out.
