Premiering on October 15, 2025, and available to stream across the U.S. and Canada on Google Play, YouTube Movies & TV, and more, through independent distributor Indie Rights, Cuisine de la Pocalypse is a new post-apocalyptic film of a different kind.

Starring Kevin Sorbo (Hercules series, Andromeda series), Natasha Leggero (The Do-Over 2016, Another Period series), and Emilio Rivera (Sons of Anarchy series, Mayans M.C. series), it is one part humor, another part Horror, and is sure to win audiences over. Written and directed by Kyle Weingart (The Waiting Game 2020, Into the Wild Frontier series), this sure-fire apocalyptic Comedy also happens to be a food lover’s dream. Curious yet, read on?
Unifying zombies, robots, and food, Cuisine De La ‘Pocalypse is without a doubt one of the campiest yet inventive films that has been made in a long time. Set in New Missoula, a remote off-the-grid, unusual ‘town,’ a group of people has found a way to live through the end of the world. It is not easy, but one unique way they find comfort and hope is through entertainment, with making and watching videos being among their favorite activities.
Then, when one of the quirky residents, who also happens to be a New Missoula-renowned chef, Chef John (Kevin Jack: Gossip Boys series), decides he wants to reach a bigger audience, he accidentally not only broadcasts his cooking show, but also the town’s location as well. Soon, a not-so-savage team of wannabe renegade crusaders embarks on a mission to stop the broadcast. Let us not forget the TV chef who wants people to eat great food amid a zombie apocalypse, but it has gone terribly wrong.

It is not every day that the world of goofy Horror meets gastronomy. Making it an apocalyptic enterprise adds a fresh take to the world of Campy Horror cinema. With that said, the cast, which featured Kevin Sorbo as Officer Joe, Natasha Leggero as Sweet Melissa, and Emilio Rivera as Murray, does a scintillating job bringing all these characters to life.

A combination of wisecracking whimsy and at times satirical amusement, this acting troupe pulled the story together. Overall, Kyle Weingart gifts viewers a magnificent Horror Comedy not to be overlooked. That is why Cryptic Rock gives Cuisine De La ‘Pocalypse 3 out of 5 stars.
