Doro - Warriors Of The Sea / Rare Diamonds (2025)

Doro – Warriors Of The Sea (Album Review)

Doro 2025 What does being a warrior really entail? One specific warrior and Heavy Metal Queen, Doro Pesch, can certainly answer that. German-born, the iconic Doro now has full control over when and where she releases her music as she thrives in her own music label, Rare Diamonds Production, distributed by Edel. Named after her 1991 compilation album of the same name, the Rare Diamonds label released Triumph And Agony Live in 2021, and now, in 2025, puts out the special new album Warriors Of The Sea.

Released on October 24, 2025, Warriors Of The Sea acts as a follow-up to Forever Warriors / Forever United from 2018, and Conqueress – Forever Strong and Proud in 2023. Her latest compilation, the new release, features live tracks from her recent cruise ship appearances and was released not only digitally, but as a limited-edition Liquid-Filled Vinyl version that, in fact, comes with blue curacao liquor inside. It is an album to drink and enjoy life to, and for those practicing sobriety, it is also available as a CD digipak and picture disc vinyl.

Included ten songs; it starts with the “Warriors Of The Sea” title track, a great opening anthem for the classic Heavy Metal that Doro is known for. Then a strange anomaly occurs with a cover of AC/DC’s “Touch Too Much,” where Doro wins this over with her high-pitched voice, naturally slaying the vocals here. Then, some of the strongest musical fights break out with “Tattooed Angels” and “Horns Up High,” but serenity unites it all as she slips into “Seelied.”

Doro Pesch always brings her badass persona to the front of the line, and betting against her pulling out a great album 100% of the time would be a terrible move. As a true Metal Queen, serving her fans a rocking good time for many decades, Doro throws in a bunch of punches with the latter half of her new album being live renditions of classics. That being said, her cruise ship adventures have brought her fans yet another powerful classic Heavy Metal album.

Ending it all with a definite fan-favorite live version of “Raise Your Fists In The Air,” Warriors Of The Sea can soothe anyone’s concerns that Heavy Metal might leave the planet anytime soon. Furthermore, the live tracks will leave any fan of Doro and the high seas with fear of missing out. For this, that, and everything Doro Pesch has given the world of Heavy Metal, Cryptic Rock gives Warriors Of The Sea 5 out of 5 stars.
