Music can be used as a vehicle to convey a message, and that is exactly what the power duo Tarah Who? are all about. Made up of Tarah Carpenter (guitars/vocals) and Coralie Herve (drums), Tarah Who? possess a sound that mixes Grunge Rock grit and a Punk rebellious attitude. Refusing to conform to any one style, they put out the EP 64 Women in 2020, soon to return in 2021 with the single “Illusion of Freedom,” and most recently, emerge with “Supposedly A Man.” A thought-provoking track about societal injustices, check out the music video below:
A song which was recorded with Jason Orme, a guitarist who has played with Alanis Morissette since 2001, the music video is a compelling piece of visual art that compliments the striking lyrical content. Adding to the personal, real feeling of it all, the message, and music, all of the dancers featured are friends of Tarah Who?. Well worth checking out, Tarah Who? are part of a new generation of Rock on the rise as they prepare to release their full-length album on September 24, 2021.
