Kamelot, Delain, & Eklipse live at Stage 48 NYC 9-6-13

Kamelot, Delain & Eklipse teamed up for an incredible night of metal at one of NYC newest venues Friday night September 6th. Cryptic Rock was there to provide full photo coverage of this evening of metal.

To open up the evening was Eklipse. All the way from Germany they are a classic string quartet. Forming around 2011 the band use cello, viola and two violins to provide an interesting music if classical covers of pop and rock tunes. Consisting of Helena, Viola, Miss E, and Scarlett these talent women started the evening off in a elegant matter.

Next up with Netherlands based band Delain. Delain was formed in 2002 former Within Temptation keyboardist Martijn Westerholt along with former To Elysium vocalist Charlotte Wessels. Now four albums deep into their career Delain is ready to take North America by storm. Their brand of symphonic female fronted metal was a perfect fit in with this line-up.

The grand finale for the evening was the one and only Kamelot. Over the past 2 decades Kamelot has released 10 full length records and built quite a name for themselves within the metal scene. Their latest effort Silverthorn (2012) is perhaps one of their best to date and showcases their new vocalist Tommy Karevik. Kamelot lot provided an eneregic performance to a large crowd of dedicated metal fans.
