Favorite Horror Movies Revealed: Missy Suicide of SuicideGirls

SuicideGirls’ annual Blackheart Burlesque Tour is in full swing, making its way to cities coast coast across the USA. Taking the classic, sexy spirit of burlesque, but with an updated, modern twist on it, the tour has been ongoing since March 1st with more shows on tap now through the end of November. This year following a Pop Culture theme, there is so much to see, and amidst it all a must see experience at The Regent Theater out in Los Angeles, California on Friday, September 7th.

With the jam-packed schedule that lays ahead, SuicideGirls’ Mastermind/Founder Missy Suicide needs a little R&R in between the hustle and bustle, so whatever way to kick back then to talk about her favorite Horror flicks! Doing just that, she took the time to enthusiastically chat about some of her Top 10 Horror movies of all-time, plus a bunch more she could not leave out.

10) Poltergeist (1982): Why would they stay in a house that the chairs move consistently? There were so many signs. This was the first film I screamed at my TV but couldn’t look away.

MGM

9) Salem’s Lot (1979) & It (1990):
This is a tie. I saw Salem’s Lot way too young and am still scared. Also, It, the original 1990 TV movie. I won’t step off a curb with a sewer grate. Ever.

Warner Bros. /ABC

8) The Ring (2002):
I had a terrifying experience 6 days later when the landline rang for the first time in a month.

DreamWorks

7) Cannibal Holocaust (1980):
Teenage hubris and memories, such gory, gory memories.

United Artists Europa

6) What Lies Beneath (2000):
Harrison Ford in a Horror movie list? Hear me out, it is the perfect date scary movie, just the right amount of jump scares.

DreamWorks

5) The Shining (1980):
The opulence of the hotel juxtaposed with Jack’s unhappiness is the perfect gilded cage for madness. All work and no play make Jack a dull boy.

Warner Bros.

4) Rosemary’s Baby (1968):
It wasn’t her imagination.

Paramount Pictures

3) Get Out (2017):
The reality of the situation unfolds so eerily.

Universal Pictures

2) The Thing (1982): Because Antarctica is the perfect setting for a Horror movie and it spawned the best board game ever.

Universal Pictures
